This newer style of Latin dance fuses the four-step pattern of the Dominican Bachata with Argentine Tango moves, and includes elaborated kicks, dips, turns, ganchos, leg wraps and long pauses. The first classes will focus on the basics of the Bachata and American Tango foot and dance patterns and moves, then the Argentine Tango dance moves. Then classes will focus on the fusion of the Bachata & Argentine Tango foot patterns with the moves and flares of the Bachata, American Tango, and Argentine Tango. No previous Bachata or Tango experience required. Practice dance music and links to YouTube instructional videos will be provided so participants can practice at home in between classes. Video taping of instructor reviewing and teaching new dance moves is permitted. Wear comfortable shoes (no black soled rubber shoes --they mark up the dance floor), and bring a water bottle.
