Paper piecing, or foundation piecing is a quilt making technique used to create traditional patchwork patterns with small pieces, odd angles or shapes that might be challenging to construct.  Fabric pieces are stitched to the paper! Start with a basic pattern to learn the technique.   $5 kit fee payable to teacher.                      

Necessary supplies for first meeting:

                Sewing machine in top running condition

                A clear or open toe presser foot is helpful, but not required

                New needles, size 90/14 Universal

                100%polyester thread,  medium grey - wind a full bobbin

                Small scissors/thread snippers

Optional: Rotary cutter, mat and small Plexiglas ruler
