Learn cutting, piecing, adding borders, quilting and finishing. You will make a simple patchwork block in the first class to learn techniques. Students, after the first meeting, will decide on their project: a potholder, table runner or larger project.The cost for your quilting project depends on size and fabric you choose to purchase-approx. $20 and up.       

       $5 kit fee payable to teacher at first class

Necessary supplies for first meeting:

                Sewing machine in top running condition

                New needle, size 80/12 universal

                Thread for patchwork: good quality 100%cotton OR 100%polyester in a medium grey color-no white or ecru

                Small scissors or thread snippers

Optional:

                Rotary cutter, your choice of sizes

                Plexiglas ruler 6” x 24” or 6 ½” x 24 ½”

                Self-Healing cutting mat
