Beginning Spanish aims to give the student a solid foundation in the language, with vocabulary useful to a traveler.  The book will be supplemented with materials designed to supply copious oral practice.  For each chapter there will be a packet containing oral and written exercises which the student will need to print.

Beginning Spanish is designed to run for a full year. Following completion of the “Beginning” class, students may register for “Beginning, Continued” in the winter/spring term and then continue with the “Intermediate” classes.

Required textbook: Learn Spanish the Fast and Fun Way by Gene Hammitt, Publisher:Barron's-any edition from last 30 yrs.
