magnificent Metropolitan Opera House! Madama Butterfly is an opera in three acts by Giacomo Puccini set in early 20th century Nagasaki, Japan. The lyric beauty of Puccini’s score, especially the music for the thoroughly believable lead role, has made Butterfly timeless. The story revolves around  a young Japanese geisha who falls in love with an American naval officer who is married to an American woman. The opera explores themes of unrequited love, cultural differences and heartbreak. Balcony Prime Seating ~ 1:00 pm Performance. Show is 3 hours & 15 minutes.
