Do you have a story to tell? Do people say to you, "You should write a book!”. Do you say it to yourself? This two-part series will help you organize your story and give you a structure for your project. Both fiction and nonfiction writers are invited. While this class aims to help those who have not written a book before, methods and structure will also benefit those who have but want to begin a new project or revise a previous one. Week One: will help participants identify their story from a high level, thinking through conflict, characters, tension, plot, point of view, among other fundamental techniques. Week Two: will help participants break down the high-level concepts from Week One into a plotted course for writing, one section at a time, with a realistic timeline for completing. We will also problem solve how to get unstuck, work through hurdles, and avoid writer's block.
