Glastonbury Public Schools (GPS) connects Glastonbury students to For Inspiration and Recognition in Science and Technology (FIRST) programs. In "FIRST LEGO League Explore," students in grades 2-4 will meet in a team of six students to learn about a current global issue (this year the theme is sustainable energy) and cooperate to build a LEGO model of their own design. They will also get some experience programming the LEGO pieces with drag-and-drop programming, using their school ipads. Please DO NOT register and pay on-line unless you have been asked to do so by a coach or by Wendy Smith, the Program Director, and are positive your student is assigned to a team. If you are uncertain, or would like your student to participate, please send an email to Wendy Smith at smithwe@glastonburyus.org. For more information, please visit glastonburyrobotics.weebly.com and click on the FLL Explore tab.
$35 per student payment for participation in FIRST LEGO League Explore, Gr.2-4. Please only pay if you are sure your child has been assigned to a team. Meetings start in January 2024.
