The goal of this beginning line dance class is to expose the new line dancer, just gettin' their feet wet in the world of line dancing, to all the different types, styles, and forms of line dancing. New line dances are being introduced to dancers, dance instructors, and dance clubs all over the world on an almost daily basis because of the internet. What is popular at one line dance club may not be known at another club. Participants will learn both traditional and contemporary line dance styling, techniques and etiquette. Beginner through advance beginner level 4 wall, 2 wall, Contra and Circle Line Dances will be taught, including line dances that are choreographed with “Tags” and “Restarts”. Participants will dance to a variety of music including Country, Pop, Big Band, EDM, Oldies, R&B and Latin. Dance descriptions of all dances are provided, as well as practice dance music, and links to instructional/Demo videos of all dances on YouTube. Participants are encouraged to video instructor demonstrations. Come prepared to learn, do a lot of dancin' and get a lot of exercise!
