This class is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about arboriculture from our expert speakers. Come discover how we, and our environment, can benefit from seeking native trees and woody plants to add to our landscapes. Topics covered will include species diversity, plant health and resiliency, tree risk assessment, veteran trees and wood decay. Information will also be shared by Glastonbury Pollinator Pathway on the importance of planning public and private gardens and property that will provide a safe habitat for birds, bees, butterflies and other insects. The goal is to make Glastonbury one big pollinator pathway with private, commercial and municipal spaces being pesticide free and hosting native plants, from small flower boxes or curbside strips to large parcels of land. Learn what native plants to add to your landscape and how to make your property part of the Glastonbury Pollinator Pathway! Beth Brantley, PhD, Plant Pathologist & Regional Lab Director, Bartlett Tree Experts Allen Blake, Arborist Representative, Bartlett Tree Experts and member of Glastonbury Pollinator Pathway*
